CCAC graduate student, Jason Chenencko (advised by Dr. Corinne Packard) was elected to serve as the Vice President of the Mines Graduate Student Government (GSG) for the 2020-2021 term. The GSG is composed of an Executive Council and a General Council. The Executive Council is elected in the Spring of each year and is comprised of six positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Academic Chair and Social Chair. General Council members are elected from within each degree-granting department or college, during the first colloquium meeting of the year. The purpose is:
- Serve as the governing body working toward the best interests of the
graduate student population. - Facilitate communication between and amongst graduate students,
faculty, administration, and the community. - Provide a forum for social and intellectual activities geared towards
