From the VPRTT:

Good news – we will be standing down the requirement for research access requests effective immediately.  (If you have a request pending, please assume it is approved.)  However, please continue to follow these steps for accessing campus research failities:

Use FOM or the appropriate scheduling tools for your department to commit to specific dates and times for your lab access.

  1. Contact the lab manager to make sure you have completed safety and other training required to use the lab. If you are a student, please work with your advisor on this.
  2. Contact the building proctor for building and lab access as needed. (If appropriate, work with your advisor on this as well.)
  3. Comply with all applicable State and local public health orders, campus health and safety guidance, and laboratory safety rules.  These include, but are not limited to, monitoring your health daily, maintaining a social distance of no less than six (6) feet from any other individuals, wearing a face mask or other face covering, washing hands with soap and water for at least twenty seconds or using hand sanitizer, and regularly cleaning high-touch surfaces.  If you have questions about what is required under any public health orders or campus guidance, please contact rtt@mines.edu.
